This artist profile appeared on Full Volume Agency’s website. If you didn’t know, they released Saturdaynight Big Cock Salaryman, Gero’s last release before their hiatus.
Two versions exist: the first mentions more events for the years 2000/2001 and features two more images; the second contains a list of magazines. They have been merged, with the deleted text being shown in italics. Sadly, the images weren’t archived. One of them might have been the cover for No Sound. This is interesting, as Juntaro didn’t mention No Sound in a discography he wrote around this time and has later bootlegged it on Bootleg of American Bootlegs. As for the other one, its filename doesn’t reveal much.
As the original English translation was a shoddy machine one, the text has been retranslated from the original Japanese version.

－Band Introduction－
Since their first album, they have continued their non-conformist activities in Japan’s indie music scene, using differing styles in every performance and release. They have explored a variety of styles such as noise, noisecore, instrumental rock, ambient, field recordings, piano solos, etc., and have released many works on overseas labels. They have garnered a following worldwide, including their home country of Japan.
Furthermore, between 1987 and 1991, the performances (masturbation) of original member Gero 30 were featured in magazines and became a hot topic.

Their breakthrough work was “Punk no Oni (Tokyo Anal Dynamite)” (Vis a Vis Audio Arts), released in 1990. The album, which consists of 75 live tracks, sparked interest in people and sold out immediately.
Furthermore, two albums that explored new ground for The Gerogerigegege and their diverse sound styles are “Endless Humiliation” (Japan Overseas) and “Hotel Ultra” (Kubitsuri Tape), which attracted lots of attention.
