This is a very short interview conducted through the mail with Juntaro of the legendary GEROGERIGEGEGE and VIS A VIS records.

CHAOTIC - Who is involved with GEROGERIGEGEGE, what motivated you to start the band, what does GEROGERIGEGEGE mean in English?

JUNTARO - I started this band(?) with gay friends as gay group in 1985. GERO = vomiting, GERI = diarrhoea, and GEGEGE = energy. We hope opening at all time.

CHAOTIC - What instruments, noises, etc. do you use with your sound?

JUNTARO - I use broken gutiar-tuner machine.

CHAOTIC - Tell us a little about VIS A VIS, what have you released? What kind of music do you release?

JUNTARO - I mainly released noise records: SBOTHI (German cut-up noise artist), MAUTHAUSEN ORCHESTRA (Italian audio noise artist), RAMLEH(English guitar shit), HATERS (American, called master of destroy-music), KOJI KITA (Jap idiot rock), and two GEROGERIGEGEGE LPs and 3 GEROGERIGEGEGE CDs.

CHAOTIC - Does the band play live much, do you get a good response? Have you played other countries…do you plan to?

JUNTARO - We got some invitations for live festivals in the other countries. But we never play live at the other countries, no plans.

CHAOTIC - Tell us alittle about JAPAN.

JUNTARO - I love very much Japan. I thanks to Jap technology. We can play electronics. I especially enjoy Jap pops…

CHAOTIC - What good bands around now would you like to mention?

JUNTARO - NIHILIST SURFIN GROUP (they like surfin’ and noise makin’)

CHAOTIC - Any final comments?

JUNTARO - I feel coke.
